Skyping with Serbia November 17 , 2006

Students at Hope Street Academy have established an online learning community with students from Serbia. 

HSA and Serbian students have been communicating about student life and issues via a blog. Students have also connected using skype which allowed direct communication using voice and video capabilities over the internet.

Students were able to ask questions to Serbian students and receive direct feedback.  Students also shared information about a video project in which both classes are participating.

HSA students are preparing a video about the city of Topeka and student life and culture in the capital city. Serbian students are preparing a video of their own which represents life and culture in Serbia. Students will exchange videos and then re-connect via skype to exchange and answer additional questions.
